LARGE CONTEMPORARY EXTENSION TO EXISTING BUNGALOW

MEP Building Services Consultants undertook the design duties of the MEP services at Freshfields, Five Roads, Llanelli, a new contemporary residential extension to an existing traditional bungalow.

The list below details the element of the design process:

  1. Mechanical Services:
    • Heating & Ventilation
      • The design of an energy-efficient Air Source Heat Pump powered underfloor heating system. The heating system was zoned to optimize temperature control in different areas of the residence.
      • The design of a building regulations compliant ventilation system incorporating a MVHR Unit (Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery) providing a constant supply of fresh filtered air, maintaining the air quality whilst being practically imperceptible.
    • Plumbing:
      • Installation of modern plumbing systems ensuring a reliable water supply.
      • Implementation of a drainage system designed to prevent waterlogging and flooding.
  2. Electrical Services:
    • Power Distribution:
      • Design of an efficient and safe power distribution system.
      • Installation of high-quality wiring and outlets to support contemporary electronic devices.

  3. Plumbing Services:
    • Water Supply and Distribution:
      • Design and installation of a reliable water supply system.
